Why Advertise on Real Objects?

A sticker on a real object gets seen by real people every day, and you pay only when the sticker is actually on there. BrandMyX is a marketplace where brands bid on sticker space on things people own. A laptop in a coffee shop, a bike locked at a station, a gym bag in a locker room. Each placement comes with a proof photo, a logo approval gate, and a 72-hour escrow hold that means you never pay for a placement that did not happen. Right now 4 objects are already listed for ad space, and no placements have paid out yet.

The problem with digital ads

Instagram charges for reach. Facebook charges for clicks. Google charges for whatever it decides a keyword is worth today. You spend money and you get a dashboard. What you do not get is proof that a human being actually saw your brand with their own eyes.

A sticker on a real object does not have that problem. It sits there. People walk past it. They see it. There is no algorithm deciding whether to show it. There is no bot farm. There is just a sticker on a thing, and the thing is in the world where people are.

Digital impressions expire the moment the campaign ends. A vinyl sticker stays on the object until the owner decides to peel it off. That can be weeks, months, or longer. One placement, seen hundreds or thousands of times, for one flat price.

How brand bidding works on BrandMyX

  1. 1. Find an object that fits your brand. Browse live listings by object type. A bike, a laptop, a water bottle, a car door, a gym bag. Each listing shows a photo of the object with a box drawn where the sticker would go.

  2. 2. Bid or buy now. Every piece of ad space has a starting price and an optional buy-now price set by the owner. You can bid against other brands or buy it outright. Bidding saves a card, but nothing is charged unless you win.

  3. 3. Approve the placement. When you win, the owner sends you the exact logo position. You approve the logo file and the exact spot before anything ships. Nothing goes on your object without your say-so.

  4. 4. Stripe holds the money. Your payment sits with Stripe from the moment you win. It does not reach the owner yet. If the sticker never goes on, the money comes back to you.

  5. 5. See the proof photo. The owner sticks the vinyl on, photographs it, and uploads the proof. You can see your logo on the actual object. Use that photo on your own channels if you want.

  6. 6. Payout releases after 72 hours. Once you confirm the proof or the dispute window passes with no issue raised, Stripe releases the payment to the owner. BrandMyX takes its fee, the owner gets the rest.

The trust plumbing that makes this work

The obvious question: what stops the owner from pocketing the sticker and never putting it on? The answer is the escrow. Stripe holds the full payment from the moment you win. It does not release until the owner posts a photo of the sticker actually on the object and a 72-hour window passes. No proof, no payout. Full refund if the deadline is missed.

The second question: what if they put it somewhere you did not agree to? You approve the exact box drawn on the photo before the sticker is printed. The proof photo has to show the sticker inside that box. If it does not, you do not approve. The money stays with Stripe.

The third question: what if the sticker looks bad? You approve the logo file before it goes on. If the applied sticker does not match the approved file, same thing. You do not approve, the money does not move.

Every placement on BrandMyX runs through the same three gates: logo approval before print, proof photo after application, 72-hour dispute window before payout. That is more verification than most digital ad platforms offer for ten times the spend.

What a placement actually costs

There is no minimum spend on BrandMyX. You bid what a spot is worth to you. If a piece of ad space on a bike in your city is worth 10 pounds, you bid 10 pounds. If you win, you pay 10 pounds plus the BrandMyX fee. No monthly commitment, no ad manager, no contract.

The fee is 20% of the winning bid, charged only when the placement pays out. If the sticker never goes on, you pay nothing. If the proof photo does not arrive, you get a full refund.

As of right now, there is no median price yet, which means the first paid placements will set the market. That is the number the market has set, not a number we picked. It will change as more placements sell and more data comes in.

The important number is not the price per placement. It is the cost per real-world impression over the lifetime of the sticker. A bike parked outside a station gets seen by hundreds of commuters a day. A laptop in a co-working space gets seen by everyone at the next table. A gym bag in a locker room gets seen by everyone who changes there. None of those impressions cost you a penny beyond the bid you already made.

The proof photo is a deliverable most ad platforms cannot give you

Every BrandMyX placement ends with a timestamped photo of your sticker on the actual object. That photo is yours to use. Post it on Instagram. Put it on your website. Use it in a pitch deck. It is a real photograph of your brand existing in the real world, and it cost you nothing extra.

A display ad gives you a screenshot of your own creative. A social campaign gives you a dashboard of metrics you cannot verify. A BrandMyX placement gives you a photo of your logo on a stranger actual bike, which is at least more interesting than another graph.

Questions brands actually ask

How much does it cost to advertise on BrandMyX?

You bid on specific pieces of ad space on real objects. Prices are set by the owner as a starting bid and a buy-now price. There is no minimum spend, no monthly commitment, and no ad account manager. BrandMyX charges a fee only on placements that actually pay out.

How do I know the sticker was actually applied?

The owner must post a photographic proof of the sticker on the real object. You see the photo. If it does not match what you approved, you do not approve the payout. Stripe holds your payment from the moment you win until you confirm the proof or the deadline passes.

What happens if the owner never puts the sticker on?

Stripe holds your payment from the moment you win the bid. It does not reach the owner until they post a proof photo and a 72-hour dispute window passes. If the photo never comes, you get an automatic full refund. No proof, no payout.

Can I control exactly where my logo goes?

Yes. The owner draws a box on their photo showing where the sticker would go. You approve the exact logo file and the exact placement before anything ships. If the proof photo does not match the approved placement, you do not pay.

Can I use the proof photo for my own marketing?

The proof photo is part of the public listing record. You can use it as creative on your own channels. A real photo of your sticker on a real object in the real world is content most ad channels cannot give you.

How long does a sticker placement last?

Vinyl stickers last months to years depending on the surface and environment. The owner can remove it whenever they want. Some placements run for weeks, others for the lifetime of the object. Either way, you pay once for the full run.
