BrandMyX is a marketplace where you turn something you already own into a tiny billboard. You photograph the object — a laptop, a bike, a water bottle, anything — and draw boxes on the photo marking where a sticker could go. Brands then bid real money, in a public auction or an instant buy-now price, to put their logo in one of those boxes as a real vinyl sticker. You stick it on, photograph the proof, and Stripe releases the payment to you. Right now 6 real objects are already listed, and no ad space has sold yet.
How it actually works
1. Someone lists an object. They photograph it, draw one or more sticker-sized boxes of ad space on the photo, and set a price for each — a starting bid, a buy-now price, or both.
2. Brands bid or buy. Anyone can browse live listings and win a piece of ad space by out-bidding the current top offer or paying the buy-now price outright. Bidding saves a card, but nothing is charged unless the bid wins.
3. Stripe holds the money. The charge sits with Stripe, not with the object's owner, from the moment a piece of ad space sells.
4. The sticker goes on, then gets photographed. The owner sticks the winning logo onto the real object and uploads a photo proving it's there.
5. The owner gets paid. Once the buyer's 72-hour dispute window passes with no issue raised, BrandMyX takes a 20% fee and releases the rest to the owner.

What is BrandMyX?
BrandMyX is a marketplace where people photograph objects they own, draw boxes of ad space onto the photo, and brands bid real money to put a vinyl sticker in one of those boxes. The owner sticks it on, photographs it, and gets paid once that proof photo is confirmed.
Is there a size limit on the sticker?
Yes — up to 28 × 19 cm, either way round, if BrandMyX is printing and posting it. That's the largest we can send as a single Royal Mail Large Letter. A bigger box on the photo still works, but the lister prints and applies that one themselves.
How do I make money from something I own?
You are paid 72 hours after your proof photo goes up, and listing costs nothing. To get there: photograph the object, draw one or more sticker-sized boxes on the photo, set a starting price or a buy-now price, and publish. Brands bid or buy instantly. When a piece of ad space sells, you print or receive the sticker, put it on, upload a photo of it in place, and the payout releases once the buyer's 72-hour dispute window closes.
How does a brand know the ad is real?
Every listing shows the actual photo the ad space is on, and every sale ends with the owner posting a timestamped photo of the sticker actually stuck on. There's no ad network in between — the brand can see the object and the sticker with their own eyes.
Is my money safe if I bid on ad space?
Stripe holds the payment the moment you win or buy a piece of ad space — it doesn't reach the object's owner yet. It only releases after the owner posts a sticker photo and a 72-hour dispute window passes with no issue raised. Miss the photo deadline and you get an automatic full refund.
How much does it cost to list something?
Listing is free — nothing is charged for photographing an object, drawing ad space, or publishing a listing that never sells. BrandMyX only takes a cut when a piece of ad space actually sells and pays out: 20% as standard, 10% for life for the first 10 listers, and 10% for the 12 months after your first sale if you are lister 11 to 50 (20% after that).
What happens if the sticker photo never shows up?
The buyer gets an automatic full refund. The 14 days don't run from the sale: the clock starts when the logo is approved if the lister is printing the sticker themselves, or on the day we post it if BrandMyX is printing it. Miss that deadline and the charge reverses automatically and the lister picks up a strike.
